Istanbul throwback
Throwback to four years ago. Google helpfully told me that Istanbul is where Sunanda and I were on this day in 2012. This is the inside of the Yeni Cami at Eminönü … I think!
I loved the mosques there – inside and out. This was one of my favorites, topped only by the gorgeously tiled Yeni Valide Mosque in Üsküdar.
This is details from Dolmabahçe palace, kitty cats who were ready to follow me home in Üsküdar and the palace again again from the ferry across.We definitely need to go back — for the tea, the history, culture, food (eggplant, anyone?) and the Ottoman architecture. Someday, inshallah!
